Draft for review — subject to legal sign-off before public launch.
Convay scores businesses from public data. We store Google place_ids for the searched business and its comparison set, our own derived scores and their history, and a content hash of the features we extract from a business’s own website (not full copies of pages). We do not warehouse Google business names, ratings, review counts, review text, photos, addresses, or phone numbers — those are fetched live from Google when a report is shown.
If you unlock a report or request a test call, we collect your email address and/or phone number. We use them to send you your report and, if you opt in, one monthly score email. You can unsubscribe from any email, and we honour opt-out requests.
To produce a score and deliver comms we use Google Maps Platform (business data), Google PageSpeed Insights (site speed), an AI provider for a handful of short text classifications, an email provider, and telephony for the optional test call. Review text passed to the AI provider is processed transiently with retention disabled.
Convay uses the Google Maps Platform. Your use of the Google-sourced content shown in a report is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
We keep our derived scores and their history. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your contact details, or dispute a score. See the methodology page for how scores are computed and disputed.
